a job, disney, oh my!

On my way to Disney World, I found out that I got offered a job!!!! I was ecstatic and I couldn’t believe it.

It is a dream job. I can work from home, have a relaxing/calm work environment, work in my pajamas and take care of my dog. It is really the best of both worlds.

I cannot wait to get started, but I’m trying to enjoy Disney World and the Orlando weather. I’m SO excited to see what life has in store for me.

this too shall pass…!

This Too Shall Pass has been my motto for the entire summer.

I got fired from a job I loved in July for a false accusation and on that day the guy I was casually seeing called everything off… I hit a huge low.

Since then, finding a job has been impossible. I’ll get to the final rounds of so many interviews but they’ll give the job to someone either already in the company or in that certain state (I do remote work).

I finally landed a position where I had to go into the office. I wasn’t too excited, but I was just thankful that I had some income coming in. And I thought, in the meantime, I can look for a job I actually want.

The company was TERRIBLE. Everyone spoke a different language from me, heels were mandatory to wear, I could not have any open liquid containers near my laptop and if I were to spill, I would have to pay for the laptop myself. The coworkers questioned my skills and hair color. Then one day, I almost fainted at my job. I got rushed to the ER-don’t worry… I just have vertigo.

And then two days later they fire me.

I’m just trying to tell myself, that: this too shall pass!

Things have to get better before they get worse. Remember that. Go watch some Netflix, Hulu, HBO-whatever you need to be happy and relax.

health is important…!

I always put health above everything else in my life.

I started a new job this week and it threw my body out of wack, that landed me in the emergency room…

I am a recruiter in Los Angeles and for the past seven years, I have worked remotely. But, I have recently taken up an in-office job and my body isn’t used to the in-office work demands.

On Friday, I got up from my desk to help out a candidate, because the receptionist wasn’t there to do their job. So, I stood up and walked over to my candidate and lost control of my body.

I instantly felt like I was drunk-the entire room was spinning. I had to sit in the middle of the office. I kicked off my heels and I just laid down. It was terrifying. To lose control of your body is the most frightening thing.

I had to go home… But, I had to drive home to get there. I called 10 people and no one could come to get me. So, I had to suck it up and drive home.

From there, my friend picked me up and took me to the ER.

They ran tests on me and I’m surprisingly very healthy, just very dehydrated.

My body isn’t used to these work demands, waking up so early and getting home so late. I physically cannot do this in office-I can easily work from home which I don’t understand why they can’t let me work from home.

Now, I’m just drinking a TON of water… And you should drink water too!

reading is sexy…

This summer I got laid off from my job. So, to keep busy I read 15 books over this summer.

Crazy…right!?

These are the top books I recommend to read

  1. The Broken Girls: Simone St. James
    Clever and wonderfully chilling!
  2. The Last Time I lied: Riley Sager
    Two truths and a lie!
  3. The Couple Next Door: Shari Lapena
The twists come as fast [as] you can turn the pages.
  4. Final Girls: Riley Sager
If you liked GONE GIRL you’ll like this.
  5. Before I go to sleep: SJ Watson
An exceptional thriller. It left my nerves jangling for hours after I finished the last page.

I really loved them, they’re all SO good. Go to your local library and go rent them… NOW!

Hey-my name is Liv. And, I live in Los Angeles, CA…

In High School, I wanted to grow up and become a writer (I was very influenced by Gossip Girl) sooo it lead to this!

I decided to write a blog and possibly start a YouTube channel about my life in California, fashion, travel, dating, LA traffic-whatever comes to my mind.

Hopefully, this blog will make you smile and entertain you. If not, don’t follow this blog! It’s really that simple.
