I always put health above everything else in my life.
I started a new job this week and it threw my body out of wack, that landed me in the emergency room…
I am a recruiter in Los Angeles and for the past seven years, I have worked remotely. But, I have recently taken up an in-office job and my body isn’t used to the in-office work demands.
On Friday, I got up from my desk to help out a candidate, because the receptionist wasn’t there to do their job. So, I stood up and walked over to my candidate and lost control of my body.
I instantly felt like I was drunk-the entire room was spinning. I had to sit in the middle of the office. I kicked off my heels and I just laid down. It was terrifying. To lose control of your body is the most frightening thing.
I had to go home… But, I had to drive home to get there. I called 10 people and no one could come to get me. So, I had to suck it up and drive home.
From there, my friend picked me up and took me to the ER.
They ran tests on me and I’m surprisingly very healthy, just very dehydrated.
My body isn’t used to these work demands, waking up so early and getting home so late. I physically cannot do this in office-I can easily work from home which I don’t understand why they can’t let me work from home.
Now, I’m just drinking a TON of water… And you should drink water too!
